Dog people

I have a confession to make, I am not a dog person. Sure I think they are so cute and I love them, when they are not mine. Hazelnut is a gorgeous dog. She is the fastest dog I have ever seen and the smartest dog I have ever met. However, she is also the queen of chewing up furniture, shoes, DVDs... you name it she'll shred it. She no longer has a bed to sleep on because she ripped it to pieces the first night we let her have it. So to combat her naughty behavior we have bought her scores of rawhides, dog bones and chew toys. All have met a hasty demise. Well, last week Hazel met her match. Cole picked her out a dog bone with a picture of a T-rex on it. He made a good choice because no matter how long she works on it, it won't go away. It's one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

Cole and his axe

Uncle Nate and Cole playing their guitars. Cole also "plays" the drums. He really wants a trumpet for his Birthday. That's where I draw the line. I had already imposed a moratorium on toys that make noise. I can handle the drums and I love the guitar but a trumpet? I don't think I can take it.

Things I am Loving Right Now...

The JabbaWockeez from America's Best Dance Crew.
A guilty pleasure, can you blame me? There are no new Offices until April 10.

Dwight Schrute... enough said.

Johnson's Soothing Naturals
Baby lotion that I slather all over Finn. Smells delicious and isn't greasy like other baby lotions.

A great read by Diane Setterfield. A chilling ghost story, you think you know...

Happy Birthday Finn and welcome to the world blog!

All of my closest friends have blogs of which I am an avid reader, however, I never had the desire to write my own blog. Celebrating the first birthday of our youngest son, Finn, inspired the birth of our blog. I realized, as happens with second and third children, that I have been terrible at documenting Finn's life and the life of our family in general. As I watched Finn dive into his chocolate birthday cake I felt remorse for the lack of photos, journal and video of Finn's first year. His first year is over even though it feels like we just welcomed him to the world. Josh has been relentless in begging me to start a blog, so coupling his nagging with my guilt I finally gave in and here it is! So, Happy Birthday Finn and welcome to the world blog!
